St. Jimmy’s Table
St Jimmy’s Table is a monthly Friday night gathering for families and grandparents with younger children. We share a potluck or pizza dinner together, learn about our faith through story and song, and enjoy activities that show kids that Church can be fun! Themes for St Jimmy’s Table have included a Mardi Gras Party, and an Easter Egg Hunt and Valentines’ Day. All are welcome to join us–watch the bulletin for details about our next gathering, or see Rev. Jonathan Askwith for more information.
Our Facebook Group always has the latest information about our next gathering. Just let us know you’d like to join!
Weddings
If you’re thinking about celebrating your marriage in the Anglican Church, we’re excited and happy to hear from you. All couples are welcome to inquire and meet with one of the clergy, not limited by gender, age, or previous marital status. We are more than a place to have a wedding. We are a place to be married, to live out marriage and to celebrate God’s gift of love and life. More information here.
Pastoral Care
The Pastoral Care Team assists the clergy providing pastoral, emotional and spiritual support to those in need. We provide monthly services at the Carleton Place Terrace, Stoneridge Manor and The Waterside, as well as individual visits for shut-ins and those sick in hospital. Home communion by clergy and trained lay people is provided for those who are unable to come to church.
Funerals
A Christian funeral is a celebration of life – the life of the person, lived as a part of the Christian community, and the life of Jesus and his resurrection which shines in us. This celebration can happen in the church, or in the funeral home. Some people want to meet with the clergy to share thoughts about their own funeral. Sometimes family members don’t know what do do next. We’re always here to help, and ready to do so at any stage of the planning process.
